Altamira is a 3 star aparthotel and is situated in the Costa Adeje/del Duque area of Tenerife. Surrounded by 5 star hotels, the complex is very sought after for it's tranquility and excellent facilities. It is highly recommended for couples and family groups.

The pool is heated from the end of November until the beginning of April and there is also a childrens' pool. There is no shortage of sun beds by the poolside and the gardens are excellently maintained.

The complex enjoys satellite TV with English channels including BBC1, BBC2, ITV and Channel 4 (although the number of channels available depends on external weather conditions and therefore cannot be 100% guaranteed). There are also a games room with table tennis and pool tables available in the hotel as well as a restaurant and cafe by the pool. There is a 24 hour reception where excursions can be booked as well as taxis and cots if required and there is also a lift to all floors.

The nearest beach is Playa del Duque, which is only 50m away and is very clean and well kept. A 5 minute walk along the promenade will bring you to a selection of excellent sea front restaurants and shops. Alternatively, for a livelier night, Fanabe is a pleasant 20-25 minute stroll along the promenade, where you will find many restaurants and bars to suit everyone's taste.

All our apartments have sea views and many are in the best location on the 5th and 6th floors with fantastic sea views a swell as a view over the pool and gardens.

Feedback from our guetss has been that the area and complex is relaxed and is a good place to spend a quiet week. Sun loungers are easy to get at the poolside, without having to get up at the crack of dawn every morning and the water in the pool is a lovely warm temperature. Restaurants which have been recommended in the area includes Biancos, which has a sister restaurant in Playa de las Americas. The food is excellent and the service very prompt and professional. There are several good cocktail bars around the restaurant, which include Ambar and Bellinis which is very chic.
