Review Malibu Park Apartments

We have just returned from our second holiday on Malibu Park. This time we booked a studio, which we got through Karen from Holidays 4U.  She recommended the studio in particular as it has just undergone a full refurbishment and it really was lovely inside. The staff were very friendly.  The pool bar, called the Splash Bar, serves great food and drink and is very reasonably priced. The apartment was well equipped and the linen and towels provided were of good quality. The pool area is nice and there are life guards on duty. There are plenty of sun loungers, so you don’t have to rush or reserve them, like on some complexes. Also the life guards are very helpful with moving them as necessary. I would have to point out though that the complex is across the motorway and in quite a hilly area. So it wouldn’t be suitable for anyone with mobility problems. But it wasn’t a problem for us. We were also very lucky with the weather during our stay. There is a mercadona supermarket as well as an Iceland, which are only a short walk from the complex. It is also close to Siam Mall, which is very good for shopping. And of course it is also a short walk to Siam Park.  Aqualand Water Park is just opposite.  We visited Siam Park and Aqualand during our holiday.  It was great fun. There is also free wifi internet access available on the complex.  We will definitely be returning to this complex for our next holiday, providing we can find a privately owned apartment which is available. We prefer to book one of the private ones as they tend to be better equipped when it comes to cooking utensils, pots and pans etc.

Reviews Altamira Apartments

I have just returned from a 2 week holiday in Tenerife. I stayed on the Altamira complex with my partner.  We chose this complex as we used to holiday here around 10 years ago, but because of family health issues we hadn’t returned until this month. We were not disappointed, the complex is still as lovely as ever and we thoroughly enjoyed our holiday. We booked through Karen Durant from Holidays 4U. The apartment was privately owned. It was on the 3rd floor and enjoyed amazing sea and pool views.  I would say the view was one of the best on the complex. The only way to better it would be to be on a higher floor. The complex is well maintained and there are 3 pools. There is also a restaurant which serves very good food.  It is nice to walk along the promenade, as the complex is right on the sea front. In just a few minutes you reach Playa del Duque. In my opinion this is one of the beaches on the island. There are sun loungers and sun umbrellas which you can hire, but the beach is not big and never over crowded.  The arrangement with the wifi was a bit strange. You have to ask for the password every day as it changes. It wasn’t even very fast, so it could be a bit frustrating. But as I have a smart phone, I was able to use the wifi hotspot on my phone instead, which was a lot better. I am with Vodafone and they only charge £3 per day so you can use the data on your bundle.

Reviews Parque Santiago 2 Tenerife

Parque Santiago 2 is an excellent complex, in an ideal location as it is on the sea front and close to the beach. The area is good, surrounding the complex.  Although in the centre of Playa de las Americas, it is still a fair distance from Las Veronicas, where the night clubs can be found. So it is quite a family oriented complex and quite quiet at night. The shared swimming pool and complex grounds are well maintained and very beautiful. We travelled as a family of 5 (2 adults and 3 children aged 9, 7 and 5 years old). We chose this particular apartment, because of the sleeping arrangements. Most two bedroom apartments offer 2 single beds in each bedroom and the 5th person gets to sleep on the sofa bed.  This wouldn’t have worked terribly well for us, as we wouldn’t want any of our children to be alone in the lounge.  Also, if there are children sleeping on the sofa bed, where are you supposed to sit, relax and chill out in the evening? The apartment we chose had double beds in each bedroom and an extra single bed in an alcove in the 2nd bedroom.  So it was perfect for us. Two of our children shared the double bed in the master bedroom and our youngest child slept on the single bed in with us. We booked the apartment through Karen from, who was very helpful through the booking process.  The apartment didn’t have the best view, as it overlooked the road, but the fact that it had sun all day on the balcony, more than made up for that.

Reviews Pueblo Torviscas Tenerife

Have just returned from a absolutely fabulous holiday on the Pueblo Torviscas complex in Costa Adeje, Tenerife. He booked a studio in H block through Karen from We were travelling as a couple, for our wedding anniversary. Although on the basic side, which was reflected in the price, the apartment was clean and well maintained. The complex itself if also fabulous. Most mornings, we visited the Club House for breakfast, which was great. The staff at the complex were very friendly and they spoke English very well, which is great as my Spanish is not very good. And of course it is in a great location, being very close to the sea front and beach and all the surrounding bars and restaurants. Our apartment was on the ground floor with a very large terrace. We love Harleys Restaurant which is a short walk away.  We were there most evenings and the staff got to know us quite well before the end of our holiday and were giving us free brandies at the end of our meals. Although the pool on the complex is great, we also liked to go to the beach on most days. Torviscas Playa has all the amenities which you would expect from a tourist resort, including water sports, a beach bar, sun loungers, sun umbrellas with little tables. You have to hire the sun beds though. Most days we just took towels to lie out on. The beach has water breakers, so the sea wasn’t too rough, unlike some other beaches in Tenerife. A guy came round selling slices of pineapple, but to be honest it was a bit expensive. So having agreed to buy on the first day we declined the offer on all the following days.

Reviews Los Gigantes Apartments

Have just returned from a holiday in Los Gigantes, Tenerife. I travelled with my husband and 2 teenage children. We had a lovely time. We booked the apartment through Holidays 4U. Karen was very helpful throughout the booking process. The apartment had two bedrooms and two bathrooms, including one ensuite. It was very spacious and well maintained. The apartment was cleaned for our arrival. We had no complaints. We chose the apartment for the great sea view. There were 2 balconies one with sun loungers. Another balcony off the master bedroom had a patio table and chairs. It was lovely to sit out in the evening to watch the sunset with a gin and tonic or two. We stayed for 2 weeks and a cleaner came halfway through to change the linen and towels. She also did  a little brief clean in the bathroom, which was very welcome. The complex also had a small pool surrounded by sun loungers. We did a little exploring during the holiday. One day we drove up to Mount Teide and took the cable car up to the top. It wasn’t the very top as you have to climb the rest of the way and you need a permit, so we didn’t venture to do that. Another day trip was to the pretty village of Masca. You can’t drive right into the village, but instead you have to walk in. The locals use donkeys to bring goods in and out of the village. It is like stepping into another time from the past. We also went on a dolphin/whale watching trips. We saw plenty of dolphins, but no whales unfortunately. A buffet lunch was provided and at one point close to Los Gigantes, the boat stopped to weigh anchor. We were allowed to jump into the sea off the back of the boat for a swim.  It was most enjoyable.

Reviews Sunset Bay Tenerife

We stayed in a lovely two bedroom apartment on Sunset Bay last week. We booked through Karen Durant from Holidays 4U, as we prefer to stay in the privately owned ones. We had a wonderful holiday. The apartment was clean and comfortable. The views were amazing. There was a pool and sea view from the lower balcony and a sea view from the upper balcony off the main bedroom. As the apartment was a duplex penthouse the views were truly some of the best you would get on the complex, I imagine.  The apartment also had air conditioning which was great. But there were a lot of steps, which was a challenge.  I certainly don’t have walking difficulties, but I was a lot fitted on my return from holiday, than I was at the beginning. I’m not complaining.  It’s a good thing! Certainly the views were ample compensation. The facilities on the complex are very good.  The pool area is nice. There is also a pool bar and restaurants on site which offer excellent home cooked food. I think the only downside of booking a privately owned apartment is that you don’t get the regular cleaning service that you would if you book through the resort. But actually we found this to be an advantage as once installed in our holiday accommodation we prefer to have our privacy and to be left to enjoy our holiday in peace and quiet. The complex is also in a very good location as it is close to the beach as well as all the other amenities of the resort. There are also plenty of shops and restaurants in the surrounding area.

Reviews Parque Santiago 3 Tenerife

We loved our recent holiday on Parque Santiago 3 in Las Americas, Tenerife. We booked a ground floor studio through Karen from We needed one on the ground floor as my husband is not very mobile anymore. The studio we got through Karen was in a great location, as it was on the Lanzarote block. Although it had a ground floor entrance, it was actually one level up from the pool, when we were sitting out on the balcony. This meant that we didn’t have the problem of being overlooked that you often get with other ground floor apartment and it also meant the view was improved. The studio was very stylish.  All in all we were very pleased indeed. The complex itself is really nice. The pool is massive (one of the biggest I have come across in Tenerife). There is a section with water slides for children, though of course we didn’t use that as we were travelling as a couple. There is also a gym, which I did use every day (not my husband though).  There were also plenty of sun loungers around the pool.  It was certainly a great place to relax and chill out. There is a lovely shopping arcade under the complex with lovely clothes shops, bars and cafes, as well as shops selling electrical items, such as cameras etc. We used the pool bar quite a bit, which was handy for buying drinks and snacks to enjoy around the pool.  But there are also lots of lovely bars and restaurants in the immediate area around the complex.  A little bridge across the pool leads out to the sea front promenade. It stretches in either direction towards Costa Adeje oneway and the other towards Los Cristianos.

Ocean Park Reviews

This was our first holiday on the Ocean Park complex. We had a lovely studio apartment on the 5th floor with a pool view. We booked the apartment through Karen from Holidays 4U. She was very helpful through the booking process. She was able to take our reservation call at 9.30pm in the evening, which was great as I am at work during the day and unable to take personal calls and during the early evening, I am usually busy as well. So it was refreshing to find a company to book with who doesn’t stick rigidly to 9-5 working hours. We also found we could talk to Karen at weekends as well, which was also appreciated. The apartment itself was very nice (note the photos don’t do it full justice). The apartment was very comfortable, especially the bed and was well equipped with all the conveniences you would expect, including a washing machine. We love the area. There is a bus stop just outside the complex, which we used quite a bit to get to other parts of the resort. We visited the centre of Playa de las Americas, where we found some great restaurants including the Tepanyaki Japanese restaurant where you can watch the chef prepare your food on a hot plate in front of you. It is a combination of entertainment and restaurant dining. He even throws food at your open mouth for you to catch – quite funny to watch as people inevitably miss and drop the food! It was a bit on the expensive side, but it was well worth the experience. We could only afford to sample this once during the holiday though.

Reviews Compostela Beach Apartments

We booked a two bedroom apartment on this complex through Karen from Holidays 4U. We stayed for 14 nights last month. The weather was great and we had  fantastic time. This is the first time we have stayed on this complex, but we have booked other apartments through Karen and have always been satisfied with the service provided. Compostela Beach is quite a big complex with a big pool and lots of surrounding sun loungers. We had a pool view from our balcony, which was very nice. We travelled as a family of 2 adults and 2 children, so the apartment was perfect for us with a double bed in the master bedroom and 2 single beds in the 2nd bedroom. There was plenty of wardrobe space in both bedrooms, as well as ceiling fans, which were very welcome, as it was quite hot. The kitchen was very well equipped with an oven and a large fridge/freezer.  There was also a washing machine. Sadly no dishwasher.  I do miss that in a lot of apartments in Tenerife.  One gets used to being able to use one at home! There was also a ceiling fan in the lounge and of course satellite TV. There were plenty of channels in English, but we didn’t watch a lot of telly.  We come to Tenerife to enjoy the sunshine and the nightlife. We went out a lot to restaurants, stopping off for the occasional drinks in one of the lovely bars in the area. The location of the complex is outstanding. Being on the sea front it is very close to the beach. There is also the Safari Centre close by.  My 2 teenage girls loved their visits to Zara, the clothes shop.

Reviews Tenerife Royal Gardens, Playa de las Americas

We had a fantastic holiday last month in the Tenerife Royal Gardens complex in Playa de las Americas. We booked a two bedroom apartment through Karen Durant from Holidays 4U. We were travelling as a family of 2 adults and 2 teenagers, so the apartment was just perfect for us, as it has two bedrooms and two bathrooms.  We find it an absolute must to have an apartment with two bathrooms, now that our daughters are older. They take forever in the bathroom, getting ready to go out in the evening. I’m sure every parent would agree with that sentiment. The pool area is very nice.  But please note there is no pool bar on the complex.  It wasn’t a problem for us, as we could sunbathe on our private terrace and there enjoy drinks and snacks from our own apartment. The location of the complex is the best. It is on the borders of Playa de las Americas and Los Cristianos. The complex is in a front line position, right on Playa de las Vistas, which is certainly the best beach in the surrounding area. It is quite long with a water fountain in the middle. There are lots of sun beds and umbrellas available to hire, as well as little tables. The waters are quite sheltered with breakers and the sand is golden, as it has been imported.  Not the usual and more typical black sand you find in some of the beaches in the North of the island. You certainly don’t need to hire a car as everything is within easy walking distance. But if you do fancy a trip exploring the island, there is also a car hire shop very close by.
