Reviews Compostela Beach Apartments

We booked a two bedroom apartment on this complex through Karen from Holidays 4U. We stayed for 14 nights last month. The weather was great and we had  fantastic time. This is the first time we have stayed on this complex, but we have booked other apartments through Karen and have always been satisfied with the service provided. Compostela Beach is quite a big complex with a big pool and lots of surrounding sun loungers. We had a pool view from our balcony, which was very nice. We travelled as a family of 2 adults and 2 children, so the apartment was perfect for us with a double bed in the master bedroom and 2 single beds in the 2nd bedroom. There was plenty of wardrobe space in both bedrooms, as well as ceiling fans, which were very welcome, as it was quite hot. The kitchen was very well equipped with an oven and a large fridge/freezer.  There was also a washing machine. Sadly no dishwasher.  I do miss that in a lot of apartments in Tenerife.  One gets used to being able to use one at home! There was also a ceiling fan in the lounge and of course satellite TV. There were plenty of channels in English, but we didn’t watch a lot of telly.  We come to Tenerife to enjoy the sunshine and the nightlife. We went out a lot to restaurants, stopping off for the occasional drinks in one of the lovely bars in the area. The location of the complex is outstanding. Being on the sea front it is very close to the beach. There is also the Safari Centre close by.  My 2 teenage girls loved their visits to Zara, the clothes shop.

Reviews Cottages Torquay

We love coming to Torquay. This time we stayed in a cottage which we booked through Karen Durant from Holidays 4U. It was in a fantastic location, in the little village of St Marychurch, which is near the Babbacombe area of Torquay.  Everything was very nearby. There was a quaint little shopping precinct which has been pedestrianised with lots of handy shops: grocery store Happy Apple, vegetable and fruit shop, wool and knitting shop, dog groomers, newsagent, Boots the chemist, pet shop, clothes shop, shoe shop, hair dressers, cheese shop, Co-op supermarket and lots of charity shops where you can pick lots of bargains. We went to the restaurant Memories Bistro which was fantastic. We knew we would have to book 6 weeks in advance as they are only open 2 days a week.  I had the turbot which was grilled with a delicious sauce. On another evening we took a taxi to Rockfish.  They have a wide selection of fish and unlimited supply of free chips. The weather was very good during our holiday.  We took a stroll out to Babbacombe Downs where the views across the ocean are fabulous. There are several hotels along here. But our favourite place is Angels Tea Shop.  They serve lunch and very good cream teas. It’s also worthwhile trying their cakes, in particular the three layer Victoria Sponge Sandwich Cake. We have been told that the bus service is very good in Torquay.  It certainly seems to be very regular, although we didn’t try it ourselves. Our accommodation was very nicely decorated and the owners had left a welcome pack which was a nice touch. We enjoyed sitting out on the sunny patio to enjoy a glass or two of wine.

Reviews Tenerife Royal Gardens, Playa de las Americas

We had a fantastic holiday last month in the Tenerife Royal Gardens complex in Playa de las Americas. We booked a two bedroom apartment through Karen Durant from Holidays 4U. We were travelling as a family of 2 adults and 2 teenagers, so the apartment was just perfect for us, as it has two bedrooms and two bathrooms.  We find it an absolute must to have an apartment with two bathrooms, now that our daughters are older. They take forever in the bathroom, getting ready to go out in the evening. I’m sure every parent would agree with that sentiment. The pool area is very nice.  But please note there is no pool bar on the complex.  It wasn’t a problem for us, as we could sunbathe on our private terrace and there enjoy drinks and snacks from our own apartment. The location of the complex is the best. It is on the borders of Playa de las Americas and Los Cristianos. The complex is in a front line position, right on Playa de las Vistas, which is certainly the best beach in the surrounding area. It is quite long with a water fountain in the middle. There are lots of sun beds and umbrellas available to hire, as well as little tables. The waters are quite sheltered with breakers and the sand is golden, as it has been imported.  Not the usual and more typical black sand you find in some of the beaches in the North of the island. You certainly don’t need to hire a car as everything is within easy walking distance. But if you do fancy a trip exploring the island, there is also a car hire shop very close by.

Mare Verde Reviews

We have stayed on this complex over several years. This time we rented a studio apartment through Karen Durant from Holidays 4U. We were very pleased with the accommodation and thoroughly enjoyed our holiday. We would definitely return to this complex, as it offers value for money. A lot of complexes in Tenerife have become quite expensive over the years, but Mare Verde on the whole remains affordable. The apartments can vary though as they are all privately owned. The complex has certainly improved a lot in recent years. Everytime we visit, something is being painted, or some work is being done on the pool. There is a nice cafe on Phase 2 of the complex which serves snacks and drinks. The staff were very friendly. We spent a lot of our time sunbathing around the pool. You have to pay a small amount to rent the sun beds, but it wasn’t a problem. A couple of days we took a stroll down to the beach which was only 5-10 minutes, depending on which part of the complex you are staying on. Our apartment was clean when we arrived. The kitchen was very well equipped with everything needed for a self catering holidays. Needless to say there was also a wine opener. We usually pack one just in case, as it is a horrible thing to be without. The owner had also provided a couple of fans, which were very welcome as the weather was quite hot.  The apartment also had satellite TV including some English channels. And there was also a washing machine in the bathroom.

Reviews Mare Verde Apartments Costa Adeje

We booked a studio on Mare Verde for our May holiday.  There were only 2 of us, so we didn’t need a large apartment. We investigated the market quite thoroughly before booking the holiday, but we decided to book with Karen from Holidays 4U, as she was always very prompt in responding to emails, which was a huge help when trying to all the loose ends tied up, including booking flights. Our apartment had a pool view and a small sea view, from a small but adequate balcony. It only had a patio table and chairs though. Our preference would be to have a balcony with a sun lounger or two.  We have asked Karen to suggest to the owner that this could be a worthwhile investment. The apartment was very clean when we arrived. The owners had left a welcome pack, which included all the essentials such as water, loo roll, washing up liquid, cleaning cloths, coffee, tea, milk and wine.  I know the latter isn’t technically essential but we thought it was after our long flight! The people we met around the pool were very friendly.  We even exchanged phone numbers and email addresses with a few people, with a view to keeping in touch. They also come back to the same complex each year, so you never know, we could even bump into them again in Tenerife. The kitchen was well equipped for a self catering holiday, but we didn’t do any cooking as we prefer to go out each evening and sample some of the wide ranging restaurants in the vicinity.

Reviews Parque Santiago 2 Tenerife

We thought the service was excellent both during the booking process and during our holiday. We booked our holiday through Karen Durant from Holidays 4U. The complex is in a great location with lots of lovely restaurants and bars close by, as well as the sea front and beach. There was also a good supermarket within a short walk of the complex. The only downside on this complex is that you do have to pay to use the sun beds, but it isn’t that expensive. The pool and grounds are very well maintained. We travelled as a couple and found the apartment to be very comfortable. The balcony was pool facing so we had a lovely view and it was also very sunny. It was on the 3rd floor with no lift, but it wasn’t a problem for us, as we are young and fit. The apartment was very clean when we arrived. It was a privately owned apartment and the owner had arranged a welcome pack, which even included a bottle of prosecco, which we weren’t at all expecting. The kitchen was very well equipped with everything that you would need for a self catering holiday, including all the cooking utensils, pots and pans and baking trays etc. The beds were very comfortable as well as the sofa bed. There was a flat screen TV with had satellite channels including some English ones. But we didn’t watch a lot of TV. We don’t come to Tenerife on holiday to watch TV, which we can do at home. Instead we prefer to go out and sample what Tenerife has to offer in terms of nightlife and culture.

Reviews Parque Santiago I Apartments Tenerife

We usually spend our holidays on Parque Santiago I and have made many friends there over the years. It is a quiet residential complex, not a hotel. We like the fact that no-one controls your meal times. You are free to go out to some of the many restaurants or of course cook your meals in the apartment’s kitchen. We stayed in the apartment for 4 weeks and thoroughly enjoyed our stay. We booked as usual through Karen from Holidays 4U. We have used this company for many years now and have never been disappointed. We loved our apartment as it was a duplex penthouse with sea and pool views. It has a double bed, which also suits us very well.  As well as satellite TV, the apartment also had a washing machine which was great as we were staying for a long time.  It also had it’s own private wifi internet access and you don’t have to pay extra for the security safe. The balcony has a sea and pool view and gets the sun all day.  That was perfect for us too as we love to sunbathe on the balcony. We didn’t do much cooking as we prefer to eat out and relax while on holiday. There are an amazing selection of good restaurants and bars. The beaches are also very nice and quite sheltered with golden sand. The best beach in our opinion though is Playa de las Vistas, which is on the borders of Los Cristianos and Playa de las Americas. It has loads of sun beds provided with sun umbrellas and side tables.

Reviews Mango Apartments, Costa Adeje Tenerife

Have just returned from a holiday on the Mango complex in the Del Duque area of Tenerife. We thoroughly enjoyed our holiday and would definitely come back to the area and would certainly book this apartment again as well. We booked through Karen from Holidays 4U. There were 6 people in our party. The apartment comfortably accommodated us all. There was a double bed in the master bedroom: that was for mum and dad. Then 2 single beds in the second bedroom, is where we slept. Then there was a sofa bed in the lounge which was suitable for our 2 daughters 8 and 6 years old. The complex was very quiet and peaceful which was just what we were looking for. It is mostly residential with people living there full time, but everyone we met around the pool was very friendly. It is a gated complex, so it felt very secure. Essentially, the complex has a heated pool, which was great for our children. Our apartment was on the ground floor, but as it is a low-rise complex, there was only one apartment above us. We had a nice pool view from our terrace and the pool was very close to the apartment, which was great so we could keep an eye on the children. We also had wifi internet access, which was great, which is piped through the complex and worked very well inside the apartment. The complex is well located, just in front of El Veril del Duque. It was a 5-10 minute walk to Playa del Duque from the apartment. We found a nice little supermarket next door to the complex, which was very handy for buying provisions for cooking. All in all a very good holiday. Thanks Holidays 4U.

Reviews Puerto Calero Villas

We have just returned from a 2 week holiday in Lanzarote. Our party consisted of 2 families of 2 adults and 2 children in each. So we booked a four bedroom villa in Puerto Calero. We had a wonderful time. The villa was excellent. We were met on arrival by Maria who looks after the villa for the owners. She was very sweet and showed us around the villa and the outside areas. We were able to pay for the majority of the booking fee on arrival, as well as a refundable security bond and something for a final clean at the end of the holiday. I really like this method of payment. People talk a lot these days about paying in a secure manner.  But what is more secure than not paying up front for the holiday, and instead paying for it once you have seen the property.  No chance of fraud in this scenario.  The only downside is having to carry around large wads of cash, which can be a bit nerve racking. The villa was spotlessly clean when we arrived and the outside areas are well maintained. The pool was quite large and heated. There were plenty of sun loungers, so we could all stretch out together if we fancied it. There was also a barbeque area, which we made good use of. The villa had sea views from the upper terrace, which was fantastic. Maria told us that there was no-one arriving on the day we left and as we had a late flight, she said we could stay on in the villa on departure day. That was really great and made quite a difference to our enjoyment at the end of the holiday.  There is nothing worse than having to lug around cases all day.

Reviews Las Americas Villas Tenerife

Have just returned from a fantastic holiday with my wife, sister-in-law and her partner. We stayed in a three bedroom villa in the centre of Las Americas. I was quite surprised to find a villa in such a perfect location, as generally you find they are located further back from the front line.  Usually it is the hotels and apartment complexes that get the prime locations in the tourist resorts in Tenerife. The villa enjoyed a fantastic sea view from the upstairs terrace. It had a private heated pool with a garden and plenty of sun loungers. The villa was infact everything we hoped for and more. We had a lovely time. The villa was well equipped with a dishwasher and washing machine. There was wifi internet access and satellite TV including English channels. The owners also provided a DVD player with a selection of some very good films, which we enjoyed watching, including Return to Me with Minnie Driver, which was a bit of a weepy. As the situation was so good, it was easy to walk out to access all the amenities. There were supermarkets, restaurants and bars all within easy reach. We also spent a couple of days on the beach. But most days we spent lazing around the pool. We all found the beds were very comfortable.  That is very important as it can ruin a holiday if you are deprived of sleep. The owners had left a welcome pack which included a box of chocolates. That was a surprise and a very nice touch. We booked through Holidays 4U, who looked after us very well.
