Carlos Restaurant is situated in Puerto Colon in Costa Adeje, underneath Club Atlantis. It is therefore a very good location.

The restaurant has been awarded a Certificate of Excellence on TripAdvisor and is no 3 out of 174 restaurants in Costa Adeje, scoring 4.5 out of 5 in TripAdvisor ratings.

The owners of this restaurant, Joao and Mandy used to own a restaurant in Devon, but decided to re-locate to Tenerife in 2006. Nearly 9 years on, the restaurant is very popular and has turned into a thriving business.

The restaurant focuses on international cuisine. Joao was born in Madeira, so it is not surprising that the menu is strongly influenced by Portuguese cuisine. It also includes Far Eastern, French and Italian dishes such as Thai Green Curry and Tagliatelle with Salmon.

The wine menu is also very fine and the prices are sensible, given the quality of the food, drink and service on offer. Other dishes on the menu include Espedata de Madeira, which is traditional dish of mouth watering beef kebab on a skewer soaked in garlic butter or stuffed peaches filled with chicken and topped with melted cheese.

There is also live music on selected evenings.

Monte Christo Italian Restaurant

An Italian restaurant in Costa Adeje, Tenerife.

The Monte Christo restaurant is situated at the bottom of the Mare Verde complex, opposite the Bahia Princess hotel. It is open from 3pm to 11pm daily, apart from Mondays.

You won’t find any tacky waiters here, standing outside to drag you in – it has more class.

The restaurant is wheelchair accessible and has free wifi. You can choose to eat inside or on the outside terrace.

On TripAdvisor the restaurant scores 4.5 out of 5 and has been awarded the Certificate of Excellence. It comes 19th out of 172 restaurants in the Costa Adeje area.

The restaurant serves Italian cuisine and the food is said by many to be excellent, as well as the service and the atmosphere.

The menu includes some standard dishes, which are just extremely well done such as fillet steak, lots of pasta dishes and dishes with fresh fish, chicken coconut curry, prawn and avocado salad and homemade pizza bread.  The food is complemented with authentic chilli oil if desired and a homemade peach liqueur is offered to finish – a nice touch. The desserts and the wines are also very fine.

Diving in Tenerife

Tenerife is a great place to try scuba diving!

There are many companies in Tenerife who offer scuba diving excursions and training. Tenerife Scuba is one such company, based in Las Galletas, who have been awarded the “Certificate of Excellence 2014” by TripAdvisor.

They operate a collection and drop off service from all the popular resorts, such as Costa Adeje, Playa de las Americas, Los Cristianos and Golf del Sur.

A lot of diving companies are based in Las Galletas as it offers the best diving sites. These are very diverse with different difficulty levels. Some of the dive sites have caves and others dramatic volcanic rock formations. There are even some wrecks to explore off the Tenerife coastline. Or you can simply enjoy the abundant marine life, such as sting rays, moray eels, barracuda, angel sharks, octopus, cuttlefish and turtles. The dive sites are either accessed from the beach or by boat. Other diving sites can also be found in Los Gigantes and Los Cristianos.

It’s also possible to hire all the equipment necessary from wetsuits to cylinders and even cameras.

This Italian restaurant Francesca al Mare is situated on the beach front in Playa Fanabe, Costa Adeje, Tenerife. It therefore has great sea views. The restaurant is open every day apart from Mondays.

It is a family-run restaurant, which can seat up to 38 diners. The food is fresh and of a very high quality. The menu is small and simple, but that is often a good thing in the world of restaurants. Even the pasta is homemade. The menu includes a lot of pasta dishes, risottos, sirloin steak, seafood lasagne, carbonara, tuna carpaccio and for dessert the pannacota and tiramisu have both been highly recommended. You won’t find any chips here!

After you have paid the bill you will be offered a shot of limoncello – nice touch!

It is also very good value.  For 2 starters, 2 main courses and a bottle of wine you may pay less than 50 euros.

The restaurant has some very good reviews on Tripadvisor, scoring 5 our 5.

The restaurant was opened in 2014. The owner named the restaurant after his fiancee, Francesca. The chef, called Maria, used to cook in Francesca’s parents’ restaurant in Romania. Therefore she has a lot of experience in cooking Italian cuisine.

This three bedroom apartment to rent in Costa Adeje is located on the Oasis Fanabe complex. It is situated in the Torviscas Alto area close to the Gran Sur Commercial Centre with its supermarket, shops, retaurants, bars and cinema.

The best beach, Playa del Duque is only a 5 minute drive or a 15 minute walk.

The apartment is laid out over three floors with two double bedrooms and one twin room. There are two bathrooms and two balconies. The complex has 2 swimming pools, including a childrens’ pool.

Cozy Cafe

Cafe restaurant in Torviscas, serving British cuisine.

A little home from home!  Cozy Cafe is a restaurant which specialises in British cuisine, making a lot of British tourists very happy!

They are to be congratulated as 99% of what you will find on the menu is homemade.  The menu includes large scones with jam and cream, quiche, deep filled apple pie, cream cakes, proper Tetley tea, Sunday roast, full English breakfast and a Scottish version as well. They also offer a taster glass of sangria when you pay the bill (perhaps the only non-British thing on the menu!).

Wednesday nights are special as it is barbeque night.

A lot of the customers are actually booked into hotels on an all inclusive basis, which seems to indicate that the food at this restaurant must be good! If you want to try it out the address is CC Pueblo Canario, between the Playa del Bobo beach and the San Eugenio church.

An additional service offered, is they can make homemade birthday cakes to order. A couple of days notice is all that is required.
