Just got back home from our holiday in Tenerife. We normally stay in Los Cristianos but we couldn’t find an available apartment there this year (amazingly). So we booked a one bedroom apartment on the El Beril complex in Costa Adeje. We booked through Holidays 4U. A lady called Karen recommended the apartment. We were very pleased with it. The apartment had an amazing sea view. It had clearly been recently refurbished. It was very stylish and modern. It also had all the modern conveniences, including it’s own private wifi internet access.  Not many apartments in Tenerife can boast that. Most just get the wifi through the complex. Often this is not very satisfactory as it is slow, due to the fact that it is a shared access across the complex. But it is a different thing to have your own private internet.  I run my own business, so it was very useful.  I could just keep an overall eye on incoming emails to make sure there was nothing that needed my urgent attention. That way I could relax and enjoy my holiday more. Thanks to the owners for that. The apartment also had satellite TV with English channels, as well as a washing machine. We would definitely book this apartment again. The area around El Beril is very upmarket and peaceful. There are some nice restaurants within a short walk. The Del Duque Playa (beach) is in my opinion the best beach in the area. It is sheltered with man made breakers and therefore very pleasant for swimming. Without the breakers the sea can be quite rough in Tenerife. The beach is furnished with sun loungers and sun parasols.

Have just returned from our best holiday yet. We stayed in a studio with amazing sea views situated on Parque Santiago 2 in the Las Americas resort in Tenerife. We booked through Karen from Holidays 4U. She was very helpful, as we had been let down by another company and Karen found us an amazing apartment at the last minute, which had just come on her books. Thanks Holidays 4U. We found the apartment very clean on our arrival. Some quality linen and towels were left, including a couple of tea towels. The apartment was very well kitted out.  It even had a coffee maker, which was a welcome surprise. The only thing missing which I would suggest the owner might consider providing, was pool towels and a hair dryer. But I believe that is standard practice, so it wasn’t a problem at all. We really enjoyed our holiday. We spent lots of time sun bathing around the pool. The weather was very kind with sun most days. There was no rain but one day was a little cloudy. We didn’t come on holiday to cook meals, so didn’t use the self catering cooking facilities. Instead we sampled the wide variety of different restaurants in the area. There was an Italian restaurant in particular which we very much enjoyed and went back a couple of times – sorry I forget the name of it. One of the best things about the complex is the location. It is right on the sea front and surrounded by plenty of amenities including shops, restaurants and bars. The nightlife in Las Veronicas, is not right on the doorstep, but easily acceptable if that is what you want out of your holiday. So definitely an ideal location.

Thoroughly enjoyed our recent holiday on this complex in Del Duque, Tenerife. We booked our apartment through Karen from Holidays 4U.  She found us a lovely one bedroom apartment with stunning sea views. Infact you can’t get much more frontline than where we were. It was fantastic. It is so nice and relaxing to wake up on a sunny morning, step out onto the balcony and to see the sea. The weather was also fantastic for our holiday week. Thank you Holidays 4U. The apartment had been very well cleaned and smelled very fresh. We love the surrounding area. Del Duque Playa is arguably the best beach in the area. There are lots of restaurants and bars around within a short walk. It is very pleasant to walk along the sea front promenade on route to the restaurants. We found the staff on the complex to be very friendly.  We last stayed on this complex many years ago, so were surprised to find that you need a key to access the pool area. But once we were aware it wasn’t a problem. I suppose it is for the benefit of the safety of the young children, which is a good thing.  Although I did notice that quite a few of the guests were leaving the gate open, which nullifies the advantage of having the fence there!  One day we took a long walk to La Caleta.  This is small fishing village where there are an abundance of lovely fish restaurants. We stopped here for lunch and sampled one of them. It was on the sea front with lovely views. The food was fantastic and so were the views.

We do love it on Sunset Bay and always try to book our holiday here every year. We were lucky to get an apartment this year as we left it very late. But Karen from Holidays 4U told us she had a cancellation, so luckily we were able to squeeze in. The apartment was nicely decorated inside. But our favourite part of the apartment we booked was that there were a total of three terraces.  It meant we got the best of  views and the best of the sun. One of the terraces had a pool view and sun in the afternoon and the other 2 had partial sea views and morning sun. So we had a breakfast in the sun, lunch and dinner.  What more can you ask? We also loved the fact that the owner discounts the price if you booked for 2 or more weeks.  That was an unexpected bonus for us.  We also appreciate the 2 bathrooms in the apartment. The area around the complex is great with plenty of restaurants and bars nearby. The complex has two swimming pools with life guards and there are plenty of sun loungers. We also found the Sunset Bay staff to be very friendly and helpful.  One word of warning to anybody with walking difficulties. The complex is built on a hill and there are lots of steps. It didn’t bother us, but it is good to be aware. I didn’t join in, but there are aqua-aerobics every morning, which looked really interesting. The atmosphere on the complex overall was very relaxed. I would definitely stay here again and would book through Holidays 4U again as well.

We usually come to Playa de las Americas in Tenerife every year. But this year we were late booking due to family problems at home. As a result we really struggled to find apartment availability. Everything seemed so fully booked throughout November. I suppose Tenerife is getting more and more popular. We have left it late to book before. But always managed to find something quite easily.  Anyway perseverance paid off.  Finally we found a lovely apartment on a complex I had not come across before: Apartamerica.  It is next door to Bungamerica and is right in the centre of Las Americas. It is close to the beach, as well as restaurants, shops and bars.  The complex itself is very well maintained and the pool area was very clean with plenty of sun loungers. The apartment itself had obviously been refurbished, as it was gorgeous. It also had a lot of modern conveniences such as a dishwasher, washing machine, wifi internet access, satellite TV including English channels and air conditioning. As it was on the ground floor and had a walk-in shower, it would also suit someone with walking difficulties. The owners had arranged an airport transfer for us. This all went off very smoothly. Our driver was waiting for us in the Arrivals Hall as we came out of the airport.  All in all we had a lovely holiday. It just goes to show, you don’t have to stay on the most well known complexes, in order to have a nice holiday. I certainly won’t hesitate to book on here again. Have just returned from a holiday on this complex. We absolutely loved this place and will definitely be returning again next year. The complex is in a fantastic location for a start. It is so relaxing and the staff and facilities are amazing. We booked this time through Karen Durant from Holidays 4U. We booked a privately owned apartment which had apparently just been refurbished. It was very styllish and definitely one of the highest standard apartments that we have ever booked. One of the reason that we chose this particular apartment was that it had a walk-in shower and it was on the ground floor, as my wife  has walking difficulties, so it was ideal for us. We have been to Tenerife many times, so we have a fair idea of what to expect and this apartment certainly exceeded our expectations. One of the things which we were impressed with was the prompt replies to our queries which we received from Karen.  It certainly gives confidence. There is nothing worse than having to repeat emails to owners due to lack of response. The price works out much cheaper to book a privately owned apartment and our own flights, rather than an all inclusive deal through a hotel. Also we loved the fact that we could eat out every night in different restaurants.  When booking a hotel, the food gets a bit monotonous.  Also, in a hotel you have to stick within the hours set for each meal, whereas when booking a privately owned self catering apartment you can eat whenever you want. We hardly cooked in the apartment and ate out most nights, but it was great as it was just more flexible.

Our last holiday was spent in a lovely apartment on Los Brezos, which is part of the Adonis Resort / Castallia Park. We booked through Holidays 4U, who recommended this apartment as it had air conditioning, which is a definite must in August, as it can be unbearably hot. The location of the apartment was fantastic as the complex is very close to Fanabe Beach as well as lots of restaurants, bars and shops.  We definitely didn’t need to hire the car. Never mind, we will know next time. One day we took a casual stroll along the beach promenade to the Del Duque area, which is also lovely.  It only took about 10 minutes to get there. The apartment we stayed in also had a washing machine and a nice little roof terrace, which obviously got a lot of sun.  So it was great to be able to sunbathe there using the sun loungers provided. There was also a patio table and chairs, so we were also able to eat our meals there and relax with a glass of wine or two in the evening, while watching the sun setting over the ocean. Oh yes, did I also mention it had a sea view. We definitely recommend this apartment, the complex, the area and last but not least Holidays 4U.  We had booked for 10 nights and the owner arranged for a linen and towel change halfway through our holiday. The apartment was also very clean on arrival and a few essentials were left, such as a toilet roll and some water. There was  a very large fridge/freezer.  Sometimes the fridges with small iceboxes are quite prone to freeze over and therefore difficult to use. So in this apartment there was plenty of room to make ice cubes. We didn’t really cook in the apartment as we wanted to eat out every night, but it was very well equipped and cooking would have been very easy.
