I have just returned from a 7 day stay on Club Atlantis. I travelled with my boyfriend and we stayed in a studio on the 5th floor. It was great as it had wonderful views. We booked through Karen Durant from Holidays 4U. She specialises in offering the privately owned apartments on the complex, which I understand are better quality than the hotel managed ones. The studio was surprisingly spacious and airy – much more so than we were expecting. I had forgotten to ask if there was an iron and ironing board and also a hair dryer in the apartment before departing from home, but I was pleasantly surprised and relieved to find these items provided. There was also a washing machine, which was a real bonus, when my boyfriend spilt beer all over his t-shirt.  It would have made all our other clothes smell in the suitcase on the way home! The complex is great as well. It is very well located, just on the sea front and close to many restaurants and bars. There is a walkway along the sea front as well and the beach was very close. We found it to be a quiet complex, good for couples wanting to relax and chill out, which was us. But families should be aware that there are a lot of rules relating to children using the pools, such as “no ball games or inflatables in the pool” and “no noise”. The complex overlooks the Puerto Colon marina, which is worthwhile to visit. There are lots of boat trips on offer here. We chose a whale and dolphin watching trip which included lunch and a swim off the back of the boat. It was great fun.

Reviews Torquay Cottages

Have just returned from a week in Torquay. We booked a small cottage through Karen from Holidays 4U. We had a very relaxing week in a beautiful and very comfortable property. The cottage was very close to the sea front and all the amenities. We were able to stroll out in the evening and choose one of the nearby restaurants.  So much easier than having to call a taxi each time. The area is very pretty and is even beautiful at night with coloured lights along the walkways. One night we collected a takeaway fish and chips as we had been recommended to Hanburys, which has won awards. Very good fish and chips, would definitely recommend this. The directions to the property which Karen provided us with were very good.  Sat nav can get you so far, but this cottage was tucked away and would have been otherwise, hard to find. Collecting the keys on arrival were also very straight forward, as they were left in a key safe and we were given the code a couple of weeks before the holiday. There was a TV with plenty of good film channels, but as the cottage also has internet access, we were able to stream some films from our laptops. There was also a DVD player in the cottage and the owner had also left some games, which we enjoyed including an amusing Top Gear board game. There was also a selection of reading books, but we didn’t get time to read any, as our days were full of sight-seeing and visiting the beach. We were lucky with the weather, as it was sunny everyday apart from our day of arrival and our day of departure.

Reviews Parque Santiago II Tenerife

We have just returned from a holiday on Parque Santiago II, which we booked through Karen from Holidays 4U. The complex is in a great a location as it is right on the sea front and just a few minutes walk to the beach. The complex is well maintained with nice grounds and shared pool. The apartment we booked was a privately owned apartment, which is apparently Holidays 4U speciality. We were not disappointed.  The apartment was clean on arrival and nicely decorated. Our party consisted of 4 adults and 1 child, so we used the double bed in the master bedroom, two single beds and the sofa bed in the lounge. All the sleeping equipment was comfortable (there is nothing worse than disrupted sleep because of uncomfortable beds). We did have one hiccup, we managed to loose our keys as my wallet was swiped by a thief while we were strolling along the promenade. But we called Karen as I had her number on my phone and she immediately arranged for someone to come out to us to give us a new key. It only took 10 minutes. We were very impressed by the service. We didn’t do a lot of cooking in the apartment – we were on holiday after all.  Instead we tried some of the lovely restaurants in the surrounding area. There was a very good Chinese restaurant which we particularly enjoyed. We went back twice during the 2 week stay – which says it all. We had Peking Duck. The pancakes were so fine – amazing. It was great to be able to walk there and back – so no problem with drink driving.

Reviews Mare Verde Tenerife

We stayed in a two bedroom apartment on Mare Verde for 2 weeks last month. We booked through Holidays 4U. A lady called Karen dealt with our booking. We was professional and efficient. We enjoyed our holiday so will definitely go back to this company when next booking a holiday in Tenerife.  Our party consisted of 2 adults and 2 children, so we didn’t have to use the sofa beds for sleeping.  We loved the apartment, but we did give feedback after the holiday that the 2 sofas were very hard to sit on, so I’m glad we didn’t have to sleep on them. It certainly didn’t ruin our holiday though. The beds on the other hand were very comfortable. There were 2 single beds in each bedroom. The master bedroom had a balcony with sun loungers on it. This was a sun trap in the afternoon. There was also a balcony off the lounger, where there is a patio table and chairs. This was the only place to eat at as there was no dining table in the lounge itself.  But I guess the owner wanted to keep the apartment airy and spacious. There was a good modern flat screen TV with satellite channels and also a DVD player, which we also used to play some CDs. The kitchen was well equipped with an oven, microwave and little touches such as a coffee maker and a sandwich maker, which made all the difference. The ice box in the fridge didn’t have a door, so it was a bit difficult to use. But I understand that he owner intends to invest in a tall fridge/freezer next time the fridge needs replacing, so that would be very good. My only other thought, is that it is a shame that more owners don’t put a dishwasher in these apartments (not many have them).  We get so used to using one at home, it is a shame to have to go back to washing dishes while on holiday. Overall though it was a very nice apartment, which we would definitely think of re-booking for our next holiday.

It was our first visit to Tenerife. Karen Durant from Holidays 4U recommended us to a one bedroom apartment on the Olympia aparthotel in the San Eugenio area of Tenerife.  We were not disappointed. The best thing about the apartment was the fantastic views. Not only did we have a pool view, but a fantastic sea view. This was due in part to the fact that the apartment was on the 7th floor, which is the top floor. It is always nice to be in a penthouse as you don’t have the problem of people making noise above you. Even the sound of someone pushing a chair back can seem incredibly amplified. The apartment was very clean on arrival and the towels and linen provided were of a good quality. The apartment also had the advantage of having a washing machine as well as satellite TV with some English channels.  The complex is well located as it is close to lots of nice restaurants and bars. The beach is also a short walk away. As far as I understand if you book a room through the hotel it will be cleaned every day except Sundays. As we booked a privately owned apartment, it was cleaned before our arrival and that was the limit of the service. But we were told this before we arrived so it was not a problem. And we were given local contact details of the cleaner and could have booked an additional clean if required. The owner also left us a welcome pack for our arrival which included some water and wine.  That was very welcome as we arrived on a late flight.

Reviews Orlando

We booked our holiday through Karen Durant from Holidays 4U. The Orlando complex has come on a lot from when it was first sold off to private owners around 10 years ago. It is now a quiet, well maintained, residential complex. There are 2 pools on the complex, which are both well maintained. There is also a pool bar, which serves snacks and drinks at reasonable prices.  As it is a residential complex, there are normally only a handful of people sitting around the pool. So it never gets overcrowded and it is not difficult to get a sun lounger.  No rush at 9am to put towels on beds, like in some other more touristic complexes!  The complex is in a great location, being only 5 minute walk to several beaches such as Torviscas Playa or Fanabe Playa where you can also find a great selection of restaurants serving international cuisine as well as some bars. We were very lucky with the weather.  We had sun every day, so no complaints there. Our apartment was on the 5th floor with sea and pool views. The owner provides satellite TV which included several English channels and there is also free wifi in the apartment. I wold definitely recommend this complex as a good choice for both couples looking for a quiet romantic holiday and also families with children, as it is a safe environment. We will definitely contact Karen soon to talk about another holiday here as the prices are also very reasonable. So far we have already stayed twice on this complex and met some really nice people which we have kept in touch with.

We booked a holiday cottage through Karen from Holidays 4U earlier this month.  We were very lucky with the weather – it hardly rained at all and was mostly sunny. As a couple we wanted to spend a lot of time walking and the countryside around our cottage was truly spectacular in this regard. We also drove onto the Yorkshire Moors and the Yorkshire Dales, both of which are beautiful. The cottage was only a 10 minute walk to the nearest pub, which was a good one.  Particularly loved the Lancashire Hot Pot – which was delicious. They also allow dogs, which was handy, so our springer spaniel could come along. The cottage was very comfortable both in the seating area in the lounge and also the beds in the bedroom. The master bedroom had an ensuite bathroom, which seemed like it had just been refurbished. The owners left us a welcome pack on our arrival which included a bottle of chilled white wine and even some treats for our dog, which he absolutely loved. The cottage has wifi internet.  We always try to book somewhere with wifi, as my husband and I both have businesses which we need to keep updated with, even on holiday. Sad I know! The kitchen was well equipped.  As well as the usual items you would expect there was also a dishwasher and a nutri bullet, so we could juice up a nice healthy smoothie for breakfast. There was an outside area to sit out and eat with a patio table and chairs, as well as a swing chair. The cottage also had off street parking and an enclosed area which was very good for our dog.

We have stayed on several of the Parque Santiago complexes over the years. This time we were staying in Parque Santiago 2. It is in a good location within the Playa de las Americas resort. It is right on the sea front and there is  a promenade which stretches along in both directions. We love to stroll along this walkway in the evening on the way out for a meal. There are plenty of lovely restaurants and nice bars in the area. That’s why we always book a self catering apartment.  We booked the apartment this time through Karen Durant from Holidays 4U. We were met on arrival by a very nice lady. She made sure we had her number just in case we needed anything during our stay. This was just as well, as my daughter cut her foot on coming off the beach one afternoon. She was wearing flip flops as well, but a shard of glass went straight through. We called our local contact and she advised us where the nearest hospital was. It was very good service – thank you. After the drama, we settled down to enjoy the rest of our holiday. The apartment we booked had wifi internet and a washing machine, as well as satellite TV with plenty of English channels. It was also south facing so the balcony got a lot of sun and we also had sea and pool views.  We thoroughly enjoyed the rest of our holiday. Would definitely book with Karen again and if possible the same apartment.

Reviews Torquay Cottages

We stayed in a holiday cottage in Torquay which we booked through Holidays 4U. We have been coming to Torquay for many years and know the area quite well.  We were pleased with our cottage this time around. The views surrounding the cottage were actually truly superb. We also did a lot of walking. There are some very good coastal walks. We drove to Babbacombe Downs and took the cliff railway down to Oddicombe beach.  A truly spectacular piece of engineering history. They allow dogs as well. Then we walk around from Oddicombe beach to Babbacombe beach. We weren’t brave enough to walk up to the top of the cliff – it is very steep!  So we just turned around and took the easy route via the cliff railway again. On other days we explored Maidencombe beach, Ansteys cove and Meadfoot beach. A word of warning on Meadfoot beach.  We went down the steps from the roadside down onto the beach.  The edge of the water was around 6 feet away.  We were busy chatting away sitting on the sand.  Suddenly a diver walked by saying “you do realise the sea is coming in fast”!  If you are reading this Mr diver, thank you so much. We ran to the steps to find that they were partly submerged in water already. Thank goodness it was a calm day, so we could take off our shoes and wade through the sea water to reach the steps.  It wouldn’t have been pleasant if the waves had been crashing against the sea wall!  There should be a sign up, please Torbay Council.  Anyway drama over – we had a very pleasant holiday.

Reviews El Paso Tenerife

We booked a two bedroom apartment on the El Paso complex through a lady called Karen from Holidays 4U. The criteria of what we asked her for was a two bedroom apartment for 5 people close to the Las Vistas beach. As there was nothing available on the usual complexes we use, Karen recommended El Paso. We had never heard of it before. Infact we couldn’t even find any reviews of it on the internet. But we were not at all disappointed.  The complex has a shared swimming pool. It is really a residential complex and you have to use a key to get in through the gate. It felt good from a security point of view, therefore. The location is excellent. Apart from being close to Las Vistas beach, it is also close to the Safari Centre with its lovely boutiques, restaurants and bars. We really were spoilt for choice in terms of eating out. The apartment enjoyed a sea view and even had air conditioning. When we arrived in Tenerife, we were met at the airport by the local representative, who was very nice. He drove us to the apartment and showed us around. We had to pay him the balance of the booking fee, a security deposit and a small amount for a final clean. The apartment also had wifi internet which was a real bonus as my husband runs his own business and needs to keep up with emails, even on holiday. The owner had left us  welcome pack which included a bottle of prosecco, which was a lovely touch. All in all we really enjoyed our well needed holiday.  Would definitely use Holidays 4U again and would also consider this apartment again if available next time.
