We usually holiday in Playa Blanca in Lanzarote. We have just returned from a 2 week stay in a small villa close to the Marina Rubicon. We travelled as a couple. We will probably end up retiring in Lanzarote as we love it so much. Although, I am glad to say that is a few decades away yet. We booked our villa this time through Holidays 4U. It was the first time we had used this company, although we enquired last year, but there was no availability. The villa was very comfortable and well equipped. The owners have installed wifi internet and satellite TV. The wifi was very useful. I think all owners should make sure this is available. It is a modern day basic and should not be overlooked. Infact this is one of the main factors that points out our choice of villas. The other very important factor for us is  a heated pool.  As you can imagine, this villa has one. The villa was also in a great location as everything was within easy walking distance including the marina where there are a wide selection of shops, restaurants and bars. The villa was laid out over 2 levels and enjoys sea views from the upstairs balcony.  It was lovely to sit out in the evening with a glass of gin and tonic and to watch the sun setting across the ocean. I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend our villa to other guests and also the company Holidays 4U, who were very professional and efficient in dealing with our holiday.
