We booked a one bedroom apartment on Santa Maria for our last family holiday. The complex is situated in the San Eugenio area in Tenerife. The apartment, which we booked through Holidays 4U, was on the ground floor. It was perfectly located as it was in a separate annexe opposite the entrance to the pool and is very near to the childrens’ pool area. This way, I was able to relax on our terrace while watching my wife and 3 year old little boy playing in the pool. I have noticed some bad reviews of this complex on TripAdvisor, but I would highly recommend booking one of the privately owned apartments on the complex.  This way you know in advance what you are booking, where it is on the complex and what view it will have. Holidays 4U specialise in renting out the privately owned ones. But we had to book quite far in advance as they are very popular and get booked up very fast. We have been holidaying on this complex off and on for the last 5 years, so we know what we are talking about! The complex is in a great location, which is what a holiday should be all about anyway. It is only a 5 minutes walk to the nearest beach which is Torviscas Playa and there are plenty of restaurants and bars along the sea front. The apartment itself was nicely decorated and was clean. It also had fixed air conditioning, which was quite a bonus.  The beds were very comfortable, as was the sofa. There was satellite TV with limited English channels – but we are not the type of people who come on holiday to watch TV, so it didn’t matter.
