We have been visiting Playa Blanca for many years. This year we stayed in a three bedroom villa which we booked through Karen from Holidays 4U. The villa was comfortable and modern. We thoroughly enjoyed our holiday. The pool area and grounds were obviously well maintained. There was a supermarket a short walking distance which was very handy. We decided to rent a car, which gave us the flexibility to drive to the beach or explore different parts of the island. If you don’t want to bother with a car there is also a good bus service, though we didn’t use it. The holiday was very relaxing – just what we all needed. We were travelling as a family consisting of 4 adults and 1 infant. The owner provided a travel cot and highchair for the baby. We also hired a stair gate, to stop our little one crawling upstairs. The owner had also left some toys and games, but these were a little too advanced for our little one at the moment. It was a nice touch though for other families with older children. The kitchen was very well equipped and included a dishwasher, oven, large fridge/freezer, washing machine, tumble dryer etc. There was also a barbeque and eating area outside, which we used a couple of times. It was very relaxing to cook, eat and drink wine around the villa, while watching the sunset. We also found the whole booking process and help with choosing the villa outstanding from Holidays 4U. It can be a bit mind boggling sometimes as there are so many websites out there with so many villas displayed. Karen took the hard work out of the choice for us as she was able to tell us which ones were actually available in the area we wanted to be. So many other owners don’t bother to keep their calendars up to date, so that was a very helpful start, to be presented with a list of the ones which were actually possible.

We have just returned from our very best holiday ever. We are a family of 6 people: 2 adults and 4 children. We always used to rent apartments on complexes with shared pools. But as the children are a little older now, we decided to give a villa with a private pool a try. I don’t think I can ever go back to booking an apartment. It was fabulous. To start with the view was to die for! Amazing sea views from both the pool area and inside the villa. There was also a barbeque area, so we could relax and chill out. The living area was really impressive as well. It was so spacious. What a wonderful place to chill out in as it also enjoyed the amazing views. The kitchen was so spacious with everything required for a self catering holiday, including lots of baking trays and casserole dishes, salad bowls etc. There was even a box of matches, which was really handy for lighting the barbeque and of course a wine bottle opener. Nothing was forgotten. All the bedrooms were spacious. We used all four bedrooms, so 2 of our oldest children could have their own room. So it really was a perfect fit for our family. We booked the villa through Karen from Holidays 4U, who was very efficient in dealing with our booking. We will definitely book this villa again and use Karen’s services again for our next holiday. Oh and there was wifi internet access, which was fabulous. We used hdmi cables to stream movies from our laptop via the Smart TV. As we have our own accounts with Netflix and Amazon, we were almost able to watch any film we fancied, as if we were at home in front of our own TV.

Parque Santiago 3 is situated in a perfect location in the Playa de las Americas resort. It is right on the sea front and close to lots of shops and restaurant. Las Vistas beach is only a few minutes walk in the direction of Los Cristianos. We booked a privately owned apartment through Karen Durant from Holidays4u.org. We were very pleased with the accommodation, which was clean on arrival and well equipped with modern decor. There was a double balcony off the lounge and bedroom which faces towards Costa Adeje and therefore gets the sun in the afternoon and early evening. The only thing was that did mean that it was very hot in the apartment while getting ready to go out in the evening. But there were ceiling fans in the apartment which helped a bit. The owner needs to get them oiled, as they were a bit squeaky. That’s not really a complaint as it didn’t bother us. The sofa bed was of the original style on the complex, which was fine for us being a couple, so we didn’t need to use it as a bed. But I don’t think they are really big enough for 2 adults, especially when it is really hot. Perhaps one adult or 2 children would be OK on it. The beds were very comfortable though. The complex itself is well maintained. The pool is huge and there is a section with water slides for children (which we didn’t use as we were travelling without children). It is a salt water pool though, which was fine – after all that’s what you get in the sea. We have already booked our next holiday with Karen, as we enjoyed it so much.

We love this complex. We have been to Victoria Court so many times, I am not even sure how many. We stayed on Victoria Court I this time and booked with Karen Durant from Holidays 4U. We found her to be very efficient throughout the booking process and nice to deal with. It’s nice to get the personal approach when booking a private apartment as opposed to just pressing a Book It Now Button and filling in your card details. I prefer to be able to ask some questions before finally booking. It is more reassuring. Will definitely use Karen again. We’ve discovered you need to book quite far in advance though as this complex is very popular. The apartment we had this time had a small sea view but the balcony was very sunny, due to the way it was facing. The complex itself is situated in a good location within Los Cristianos and is well maintained with tidy gardens. It is a short walk to the beach and restaurants. You certainly don’t need a car. The apartment had been well equipped by the owner. There was even a hair dryer, which we weren’t expecting as well as a washing machine. The snack bar on the complex was great – we had Full English several times during the stay – yum. . It’s funny when you read some of the reviews on TripAdvisor, as some seem to actually contradict each other quite directly. Some say that the complex is friendly and others describe some of the residents as actually quite unfriendly and rude. I have to say though that our experience was a very pleasant one. All the residents we met, as well as holiday makers and staff were very pleasant and friendly.

We spent a wonderful week this month in Tenerife. We stayed in a lovely one bedroom apartment in Fanabe, which was only a few minutes walk from the beach and close to all amenities such as restaurants, shops and bars. We booked through Karen from Holidays4u.org. She looked after us very well. The owner had equipped the apartment really well. As well as having air conditioning, it even had a dishwasher. That’s an unusual find in an apartment. But very welcome. When you are used to having one at home, it’s a shame to go on holiday and have to wash the dishes by hand. We were very lucky with the weather, which was glorious the whole time. Not too hot either – last year we went in August and the heat was unbearable. The apartment was spacious and comfortably decorated in a modern style. It had obviously been refurbished quite recently, or very well maintained. There was a barbeque on the balcony, which was a nice touch. You can buy amazing fish in Tenerife, much fresher than where we live in the UK. So it was great to be able to cook local prawns on the barbeque for our evening meal. We did this about twice and the other evenings, we were just able to stroll out and try out the many and varied restaurants available along the sea front. The choice is truly amazing. I always feel that it is better to book a self catering apartment for this reason. It would feel like you were loosing out by staying half or full board in a hotel and eating the same cuisine every night.

We booked our villa holiday through Holidays4u.org. Karen was very helpful throughout the booking process. The villa itself was very nice and the pool was great. We travelled as a large family of 4 adults and 4 young children. The children enjoyed themselves so much: needless to say they didn’t want to come home on our final day. The villa was in a perfect location for a relaxing holiday, as it was very quiet and peaceful, yet within walking distance of amenities. The villa had satellite TV which was great for the children. We found some good cartoon channels. There was also a DVD player and the owner had left a selection of DVDs, which included some for children. This was great so we could keep the children occupied while the adults were getting ready to go out in the evening. We found the villa spotless when we arrived on our first day. The owner had left a welcome pack which was appreciated as we were on a late flight. The villa was also very spacious which was good for us, as our children do a lot of running around. We especially enjoyed evenings relaxing by the pool and cooking prawns on the barbeque. The fish in the supermarkets is so fresh here and so cheap. We hired a car from Autoreisen (they have reasonable rates) and spent one day of our holiday touring around the island. The linen and towels provided were of a good quality and the towels were soft and fluffy. The bed in our bedroom was also very comfortable and large for a double. The other adults in our party also said they had comfortable beds as well. All in all, I would have no hesitation to recommend the villa and also Holidays4u.org.

Our holiday was spot on. We booked a one bedroom apartment on the ground floor through Karen from Holidays 4U. We always stay on Parque Santiago 3 as it is the best complex in Playa de las Americas, Tenerife. We holidayed as a couple with our young 5 year old daughter. She loves playing on the water slides. When we arrived we had a bit of problem getting the wrist band for her to use the water park. But one call back to Karen in the UK and it was quickly sorted out. It seems very safe, as there is always a life guard watching. Our apartment had a little garden with a gate at the end. That was great, so we could relax and sunbathe in a larger space than if you are in one of the apartments with just a balcony and we were happy in the knowledge that our little girl could play safely. The apartment was very clean. It was a privately owned apartment, so the owners use their own cleaner. The complex is in a great location as it is right on the sea front and just a short walk to the beach. There is bridge across the pool, which leads straight out to the sea front promenade. We loved to stroll along here in the evening. There is also a great arcade of shops underneath the complex with some fantastic clothes shops. Also the Safari centre is just across the road, which includes my favourite shop, Zara – wasn’t good for my credit card balance though. Will definitely be returning here as soon as my credit card recovers.

We booked a one bedroom apartment on Santa Maria for our last family holiday. The complex is situated in the San Eugenio area in Tenerife. The apartment, which we booked through Holidays 4U, was on the ground floor. It was perfectly located as it was in a separate annexe opposite the entrance to the pool and is very near to the childrens’ pool area. This way, I was able to relax on our terrace while watching my wife and 3 year old little boy playing in the pool. I have noticed some bad reviews of this complex on TripAdvisor, but I would highly recommend booking one of the privately owned apartments on the complex. This way you know in advance what you are booking, where it is on the complex and what view it will have. Holidays 4U specialise in renting out the privately owned ones. But we had to book quite far in advance as they are very popular and get booked up very fast. We have been holidaying on this complex off and on for the last 5 years, so we know what we are talking about! The complex is in a great location, which is what a holiday should be all about anyway. It is only a 5 minutes walk to the nearest beach which is Torviscas Playa and there are plenty of restaurants and bars along the sea front. The apartment itself was nicely decorated and was clean. It also had fixed air conditioning, which was quite a bonus. The beds were very comfortable, as was the sofa. There was satellite TV with limited English channels – but we are not the type of people who come on holiday to watch TV, so it didn’t matter.

We have just returned after a wonderful relaxing holiday in Torquay. We stayed with extended family, myself, husband, his brother and wife and their 2 children. We booked the cottage through Karen from Holidays 4U. It was situated just outside of Torquay, only 4 miles from the centre of town. The nearest beach was Maidencombe, a nice quiet cove. The weather was glorious, we were very lucky. We spent one day on the beach and also did the coastal walk on another day. There was a Michelin star restaurant which was only a 5 minute walk from the cottage which we tried one evening. We had also been recommended to try Memories Bistro in St Marychurch, Torquay. You have to book a table about 6 weeks ahead of time as they are very popular and are only open on Fridays and Saturdays. So we had booked a table for our last Friday. It was very good and well deserved the recommendation. They serve a lot of fish, which they can obviously get very fresh, being so close to Brixham. We all had turbot. It was prepared in a lovely sauce: simple yet delicious. The wine list was also very fine. And I had treacle tart for dessert and an Irish coffee! Fine times! We took a taxi home. It was maybe only a 5 minute drive, but I wasn’t looking at my watch! We had one day of rain so we visited Bygones. My brother-in-law’s children loved it. There was an Easter egg hunt and they successfully found all the eggs. Bygones is a quaint walk back in time, into the Victorian era. You can look in all the shop windows and see genuine articles that would have been on sale at the time. It’s surprising how many brands have survived today.

I have just returned from a 7 day stay on Club Atlantis. I travelled with my boyfriend and we stayed in a studio on the 5th floor. It was great as it had wonderful views. We booked through Karen Durant from Holidays 4U. She specialises in offering the privately owned apartments on the complex, which I understand are better quality than the hotel managed ones. The studio was surprisingly spacious and airy – much more so than we were expecting. I had forgotten to ask if there was an iron and ironing board and also a hair dryer in the apartment before departing from home, but I was pleasantly surprised and relieved to find these items provided. There was also a washing machine, which was a real bonus, when my boyfriend spilt beer all over his t-shirt. It would have made all our other clothes smell in the suitcase on the way home! The complex is great as well. It is very well located, just on the sea front and close to many restaurants and bars. There is a walkway along the sea front as well and the beach was very close. We found it to be a quiet complex, good for couples wanting to relax and chill out, which was us. But families should be aware that there are a lot of rules relating to children using the pools, such as “no ball games or inflatables in the pool” and “no noise”. The complex overlooks the Puerto Colon marina, which is worthwhile to visit. There are lots of boat trips on offer here. We chose a whale and dolphin watching trip which included lunch and a swim off the back of the boat. It was great fun.
