We have just returned from a holiday on Parque Santiago II, which we booked through Karen from Holidays 4U. The complex is in a great a location as it is right on the sea front and just a few minutes walk to the beach. The complex is well maintained with nice grounds and shared pool. The apartment we booked was a privately owned apartment, which is apparently Holidays 4U speciality. We were not disappointed.  The apartment was clean on arrival and nicely decorated. Our party consisted of 4 adults and 1 child, so we used the double bed in the master bedroom, two single beds and the sofa bed in the lounge. All the sleeping equipment was comfortable (there is nothing worse than disrupted sleep because of uncomfortable beds). We did have one hiccup, we managed to loose our keys as my wallet was swiped by a thief while we were strolling along the promenade. But we called Karen as I had her number on my phone and she immediately arranged for someone to come out to us to give us a new key. It only took 10 minutes. We were very impressed by the service. We didn’t do a lot of cooking in the apartment – we were on holiday after all.  Instead we tried some of the lovely restaurants in the surrounding area. There was a very good Chinese restaurant which we particularly enjoyed. We went back twice during the 2 week stay – which says it all. We had Peking Duck. The pancakes were so fine – amazing. It was great to be able to walk there and back – so no problem with drink driving.
